A Resounding Success: 2024 Global Forum on Maritime Services and 40 Years of P&I Service in China

Keeping Pace with Industry Trends and Planning for the Future

On June 28, 2024 Global Forum on Maritime Services and 40 Years of P&I Service in China was held in Shanghai’s North Bund with the theme “Gathering Strength for Elemental Transformation, Serving High-end Shipping.” The forum, hosted by the China Shipowners Mutual Assurance Association (CPI), was attended by nearly 400 guests from relevant domestic and international regulatory agencies, international and domestic industry organizations, and related parties from global shipping, ports, cargo owners, finance, insurance, brokerage, law, arbitration, classification societies, shipping technology, maritime services, universities, and research institutions.

Mr.Huangbo, the founder of Teamhead, expressed his great pleasure of attending the 40th-anniversary celebration of CPI. He noted that old friends were as impressive as ever, and it was also delight to meet some esteemed industry professionals he had long admired. He found the event to be incredibly impressive and sophisticated, stating that it was well worth attending.

The purpose of this forum is to explore the significant role of the high-end shipping services industry in promoting the transformation and upgrading of the shipping industry and aiding the development process of new quality productivity in shipping.

The forum also examined new pathways for enhancing the capabilities of high-end shipping services, gathering strong momentum for driving high-quality industry development, and contributing wisdom and strength to the high-level allocation of global resources and the high-level conduct of international cooperation. The forum presented numerous comprehensive, forward-looking, and targeted viewpoints, further highlighting the valuable consensus on industry exchange and cooperative development.
