Chinese shipowners now operate the world’s largest fleet by tonnage, with a substantial number of Chinese ship Masters and Chief Engineers serving onboard. However, language barriers and differences in operational practices often lead to communication challenges, frequent misunderstandings, and procedural inefficiencies in the event of vessel or cargo damage. These issues can hinder timely incident investigation, delay operational recovery, and exacerbate secondary losses.
In response, Teamhead Marine Services has established an overseas survey team composed of former COSCO SHIPPING technical Manager and COSCO Shipyard repair superintendents. Supported by a global network of experienced surveyors—most of whom are former Masters and Chief Engineers—the company has built a robust system for providing worldwide marine survey services. Over the years, we have leveraged our proficient communication skills and standardized procedures to effectively serve Chinese shipowners and P&I Clubs that support them.
